As a reminder, the rough draft of your itinerary was due today (5.25) as Assignment #18. Final projects are due at the beginning of class next Thursday, May 31st.

Assignment #17 (due 5.23)

Please be sure you have completed the Greetings, Earthlings! handout with your partner for class on 5.23.

NOTE: As a reminder, the remaining Space Vacay project timeline is as follows:

• Friday, May 25: Rough draft of itinerary due (this will be Assignment #18).
• Thursday, May 31: Final project due at beginning of class.

Assignment #16 (due 5.21)

Please remember that your company name and logo for your Space Vacay, You Don't Say? research project are due by the end of class on Monday (5.21). As a reminder, the remaining project timeline is as follows:

• Monday, May 21: Space travel company name and logo due at the end of class.
• Friday, May 25: Rough draft of itinerary due.
• Thursday, May 31: Final project due at beginning of class.

Assignment #15 (due 5.17)

Please be sure your group has completed the Earth's Atmosphere Diagram by the start of class on 5.17.

Also, begin thinking about the celestial destinations you would like to research for your Space Vacay, You Don't Say? project. You will have sufficient time to work on your project in class while T-Mac is away. Click here to see the sample travel posters and itineraries from yesterday's class. The project timeline is as follows:

• Friday, May 18: Final decision for your 2 celestial destinations (in addition to Mars) is due by the end of class.
• Monday, May 21: Space travel company name and logo due at the end of class.

Assignment #14 (due 5.15)

Please be sure you have completed the Layers of the Atmosphere chart for class tomorrow (page 3). Also, please continue work on the Earth's Atmosphere Diagram, noting that your group will have time to complete this assignment in class tomorrow.

Assignment #13 (due 5.10)

Please read the Layers of the Atmosphere article you received in class today (pages 1-2 of the packet). As you read about each layer, highlight important characteristics such as special features and temperature. NOTE: Please do not complete the chart on page 3!

Assignment #12 (due 5.9)

Choose 5 terms from the Wild and Destructive Weather film clip we watched today. Your terms should be weather/science-related and should not appear on the vocab list you completed last week. Research a definition for each term. On the index cards provided, please write the term on the front and the complete definition on the back. You should have 5 completed cards for class on 5.9.

Assignment #11 (due 5.7)

Please complete a 10-minute observation of the weather (rain or shine!). Your observation should be in the same format as the one we did in class outside this week. Set a timer for 10 minutes and write as much detail as you can observe during each minute. This means you will have 10 different sets of data when you are finished. NOTE: You are welcome to hire a friend to help with your timer. Please bring your completed weather observation to class on 5.7.

Also, please finish Page 3 of Weather: What's the Good Word? for 5.7.
