Choose a family member or friend (a small, non-human mammal such as a dog or cat would also be okay). Set a timer and quietly observe this person/animal for a period of 10 minutes. On a sheet of paper, list as many observations of this person/animal as possible during the time permitted. Your observations could include movements, clothing, conversation, facial expressions...etc. Be very thorough with what you notice, as well as the detail you use to record your observations. NOTE: Please do not let the person/animal know you are observing; you do not want to influence their actions. Please bring your written observations to class on Wednesday, 9.19.
