Find a natural object in your yard (your choice!). Set a timer for 10 minutes. On a piece of paper, record as many observations as you can within the 10-minute time frame. Challenge yourself to notice as many things as possible. A bulleted list is okay. Stop recording when time is up. Bring your list to class on 9.19.

Your first assignment is to interview an adult in your home to learn about this person's experience as a middle school science student. You should ask the following questions, briefly recording their responses on a separate sheet of paper. Please bring your recorded responses (written) to class on Friday, 9.6.

Question 2: What is one thing you remember most from middle school science?
